Yeah. I mean, sure they (kinda) make the Supra, the 86 and a couple fun Lexus models, but let’s be real. Most of their cars are extremely ugly and in some cases ancient blobs. The ones that are new have hideous grills and lack the infotainment specs other brands have had for a long time.

Pointing out one halo model doesn’t excuse the thousands of bland ass blobs that litter every dealer throughout North America.

See also: Ford, Honda, GM. I’d say that overall, Toyota has the blandest fleet out there.

I can only assume the ancient ones still sell because those people are not interested in tech. They wouldn’t sell them anymore if they didn’t move them. I know my dad doesn’t want a techie truck, he buys older F250s in good shape at the auctions and sells them every couple years. There are lots of people like my mom that drive a normal Honda/Camry and don’t give it a thought. To be fair the new Accord and Camry are much nicer and more exciting than they used to be. I don’t see many GM products besides Burbans and trucks around here. They do what sells and what they get away with. I know people didn’t like the Acura beak very much and I can’t imagine the predator face is loved, but they are all over the place.

Yep, it was a lot more interesting to work with the fun guys because you never knew what was going to happen next.

Over 31 years in the industry, I had the opportunity to work under leadership ranging from Iacocca, Eaton/ Lutz, Zets che/ Schremp, and Marchionne.

Iacocca was my favorite with Marchionne and Lutz a close 2nd and 3rd.

Iacocca was an incredibly motivating presence. We just knew he was going to figure out a way to be successful even when things looked grim.

Marchionne was the smartest of them all, though, IMHO.

The newest Lexus vehicles have both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota has offered both for a couple years now as well.
